Our Platform uses location data to connect you with nearby barbers and enable mobile barber services. When you enable location access, we collect your GPS coordinates to calculate distances, show nearby barbers on the map, and facilitate mobile barber dispatching to your location.
How we use location data: Location information is used solely to provide location-based features within the Platform. We do not sell, share, or use your precise location data for advertising purposes. Location data associated with bookings is retained for service delivery records and may be used for dispute resolution.
You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device or browser settings. Disabling location services will prevent the discovery map and mobile barber matching from functioning, but all other Platform features will remain available.
9. AI-Powered Features & Data Processing
Nearest Cutz uses artificial intelligence to enhance your experience. Our AI assistant ("Aria") and other AI-powered features process your inputs - including text messages, voice transcripts, booking preferences, and service history - to provide personalized recommendations, scheduling assistance, and customer support.
Third-party AI processing: Certain AI features utilize third-party language model providers to generate responses. When you interact with Aria or other AI features, your conversation data may be transmitted to these providers for processing. We select providers with strong data handling practices and contractual obligations to protect your information. Conversation data sent to AI providers is not used to train their general models.
Important: AI-generated responses are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. They should not be relied upon as professional advice. Always verify important details - including pricing, availability, and appointment times - directly with your barber.
10. SMS & Text Message Communications
By opting in to SMS communications during registration or at any point on the Platform, you consent to receive text messages from Nearest Cutz. These messages may include:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Booking status updates and cancellation notices
- Waitlist notifications when a spot becomes available
- Review requests following completed appointments
- No-show follow-up communications
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your activity. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your notification preferences in your account settings. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use the Platform, but you may miss time-sensitive appointment reminders.
11. Video Consultations & Recording
Our Platform offers video consultation features powered by third-party video providers. When you join a video call:
- Your camera and microphone data are transmitted in real-time to other call participants
- Video calls may be recorded or have AI-assisted note-taking enabled by the meeting host
- You will be notified and asked for explicit consent before any recording or AI note-taking begins
- If you do not consent to recording, you may still participate in the call without recording enabled for your portion, or you may choose to leave
Recorded meetings and AI-generated notes are stored securely and accessible only to authorized participants. We do not share call recordings with third parties unless required by law.
12. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
